Plaid Pattern

Think plaid is just a pattern for a blanket your grandma loves to snuggle up with? Then take a look at these outfits..

Chose one plaid item and keep the rest of the outfit simple like Olivia does? Or go all out like fashionista Miroslava Duma?

What do you think about plaids: would you wear it as everyday-wear?

Leather sleeves

One of the biggest trends in 2012 for fall and winter were leather sleeves. And Olivia sure was a fan of this thougher look! Wheter it was a military jacket, a coat or a blazer: Olivia had leather sleeves on them. Which one of these is your favorite?

Drape that cape!

I think a cape is such a chique piece of garment. Olivia's been seen wearing capes to keep her warm while walking her dog or running errands. It looks really classy, and all you have to do is just throw it on!

Sugary - Sexy - Sweet

The next look reminds me a lot of Sofia Coppola's commercial for the Miss Dior Cherie fragrance. Sofia Coppola is the master in creating a sweet, but sugary sexy vibe in a setting such a Paris. I think Olivia recreates this look very well at the Valentina show at Paris (coincidence ;-) ?) fashion week. The key to this look is wearing bubble gum coloured light fabrics, vintage cat eye sunglasses, and clashing accessories (like her crystal embellished Giuseppe Zanotti sandals) for a naughty wink. Do you want to recreate this look? Give your hair some flirty waves, and keep in mind the soundtrack of your day: 'Moi je joue' by Brigitte Bardot! :-)

Combat Coat

Olivia's been loving the army green jacket for a long time now. I even made a post about her affection for this item a while ago, check it out here. She likes this laid back look to go to the gym, to do some errands, or to go for a relaxing walk in the city with her boyfriend. To avoid looking too slouchy, she styles it with some skinnies, a pair of sunglasses (as usual), a light scarf and a nice designer handbag. And to add a splash of rock'n roll she chooses for eye-catching, leopard printed pumps. Do you think she manages to stay stylish while being comfortable? XOXO

Oh la la!

So this is my FAVORITE Olivia look: simple, but oh so classy! It reminds me a lot of Emanuelle Alt, editor of French Vogue. This women always looks effortlessly chic. Olivia understands the modern day parisian street style as no other: black skinny jeans, oversized tops, fitted blazers, and a nice pair of pumps. Finish of the look with a killer pair of sunglasses and a statement bracelet, and you're good to go.. take your dog out for a walk. A cute little dog, preferably called a preppy name, like Mr. Butler for instance. :-)

Au revoir mes amis!

Summer in the City

Hi lovelies, I'm back! So sorry for not posting in such a long time.. Thanks for all your lovely comments! Hope you all are doing fine! I will try my best to upload more :-)
Here is my first post to get you inspired by Olivia's fabulous summer style...

This summer Olivia likes to incorporate a little bit of the tribal trend into her style. She likes to wear bold, multi-colored shorts and soft, flowy fabrics. This look can be balanced out by mixing it with natural accessories like the Gerard Darel’s Woodstock 24 Hour Bag she's been taking everywhere with her lately.

Anoter celebrity who knows how to rock this trend is Ashley tisdale. I love those shorts!

What's your favorite look?

Olivia's guide to a royal lifestyle

Since the royal weddings in Monaco and Great Britain it seems that everybody is watching the royalties. And this is no different for Olivia! She dresses and lives like a real modern-day princess. Maybe she's copying them, or maybe she's simply one of them (minus the title of 'princess')?! Either way, take a look at Olivia's guide to a royal lifestyle:
1. Dress like a royalty:

Wear your clothes like a true lady, breathe elegance and timelessness.
You have to BE a fashion icon, not follow one. (Oops!
-> this rule is only for Olivia, not for us! ;-) )
Dress to impress!

No mather what the occasion is, you always have to look like a lady. Wear dresses ALL the time, preferably in colours that give subtle reference to your importantness, such as 'royal' blue. (first picture: princess Victoria of Sweden)
To go to more formal events, you need an elegant black cocktail dress. For a luxurious feel opt for delicate fabrics like lace. Olivia's gorgeous example is by Valentino. A floor-length silver gown is a necessity to simply 'shine' at a ball. Here a couple of examples worn by princess Beatrice, Kate Middleton, and our Olivia.

2. Get yourself noticed at events!
Last month Wimbledon was thé place to make an appearance! Several royal faces were spotted on Centre Court: Kate Middleton, her sister Pippa and.. Olivia.

3. Make 'humble' yacht vacation!
Concur the seas in a luxurious yacht, accompanied by your entourage. (first and second picture: princess Charlotte Casiraghi of monaco and her family on their yacht)

Now, i think Olivia forgot 3 (very important) things to become a real princess:

4. Wear extravagant hats that set you apart from the rest.

(pictures: princess Eugenie of York, and Charlène Wittstock of Monaco)

5. Hold a royal wedding.
Find your prince charming (-> well done Olivia!), marry him in a fairytale wedding with the perfect wedding dress and a horse-drawn carriage, and let milions of people watch all of this on (inter)national television! (-> Good luck Olivia!)

6. Learn to WAVE!!

masculine / feminine?

Olivia looks confident in a black suit, white shirt and loosely knotted tie. She has no secrets for us, holding a transparant clutch by Charlotte Olympia. The whole look is glammed up with a pair of super glamorous leopard pumps, also by Charlotte Olympia. Somebody is sponsored? :)

Another way to rock the masculine trend is by pulling your hair back and wearing an all black tuxedo. But she gives the outfit a feminine touch with a lace top and by showing some ankle thanks to her cropped trousers. This time she wears two necklaces, one is by Lulu Frost.
Olivia show that when you want to look polished, it's all about the details: purple satin pumps and a boyfriend with matching purple tie.
